Maria Elena Bello
Maria Elena Bello, born April 18 1967 is an American actress and producer as well as writer. Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly ((2000), The Cooler (3), A History of Violence (2004), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2009), Grown Ups (2010) and Prisoners (2013) were just a few of her film roles. Bello has appeared on television as Dr. Anna Del Amico (1997-1998), along with other starring parts such as Michelle McBride (2016 season), and Jacqueline Sloane (2017-2021) on NCIS. Bello was born on April 18, 1967 in Norristown in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Kathy Bello, a nurse at school and teacher, and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She grew up in a middle-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. In political science, Bello majored in political science at Villanova University. Bello trained her acting skills in a variety of New York theater productions following her graduation. Bello has her son Jackson with her former partner Dan McDermott. She wrote in November 2013 about her similar-sex relationship, Clare Munn, and how it ended. She published a book entitled Whatever...Love Is love: Questioning the labels we assign to ourselves (Dey Street Books April 28 and 29, 2015).
